This is a great everyday wine.  It drinks more like a €20 bottle. Ripe fruit, light spice, deep red colour, the normal characteristics of a decent majority Sangiovese wine. James Suckling gave this wine 90/100.

Chateaux Trimoulet Saint Emilion Grand Cru

This wine is why we here at MaxiVinos love doing our jobs.  This is a wine that is punching above its weight at this price level and it still has a few years to get even better.  Bordeaux legend Nicolas Thienpont was the consultant winemaker and his talented hand is clearly evident.

    Domaine de L’Ostal Grand Vin

The Cazes family of Lynch-Bages fame chose La Livinière as the place where it wanted to make the L’Ostal Cazes Languedoc wine. La Livinière is probably the most discussed appellation in Languedoc. Just a handful of producers have the right to use it - a full bodied very intense wine with a strong but very rounded soft integrated tannins – so we are proud we could secure some cases of the Grand Vin Minervois La Livinière 2015 at a great price. A rare find.

Initially the wine is almost sweet and builds on a sea of soft tannins and cherry acid. Then it gently and slowly disappears with a spicy and toasted aftertaste. A favourite of both of ours and running low in stock!
